T.G.I ..... My Birthday!!

Not only was my birthday on a Friday, it was going to be 95 degrees!! :) Probably the last, hottest birthday I'll ever see. Haha. I don't think it's ever been 95 in March, in Ohio. It only got better from there ....

I stopped at Sonic on my way into Austin. MY Ultimate Drink Stop. Mmmm. I love their ice. If you've been there, you know what I mean.

My favorite drink, Ocean Water. (ice had already melted in this picture) I'll get a better picture later today. Sonic is usually a stop while running errands. You know Alex has to get his Tator Tot fix.

Big Tex from the Real World house a.k.a Rio at 3rd and San Jacinto. I love this place. From what it was on MTV to what it is now -- heaven on a plate. Everything is great here. BUT yesterday ... dear God, awful service. We get there, the hostess was sweet, sat us right away. Even though SXSW is going on the place was pretty empty. It was also 11:30. Hippies were probably still sleeping in their own funk. So we get seated then get chips and salsa. And we sit. And we sit. Two guys are sat at the table right beside us. They sit. We sit some more. Finally Amy goes and asks the hostess if we have a server. The hostess was surprised that we hadn't even seen our waitress yet. She comes over and was like "Are you ready to order drinks?" "Umm, yes but can we order food too??" We order and mine comes and isn't even right and the food isn't even hot. The guys beside us were halfway finished with their lunch. Whatever, we can't wait anymore - we still have to eat and get back to 6th and Congress ... small walk. We even had to ask for the bill and we waited forever just on refills. By this point it had really gotten to Cristina and she went and asked for a manager. They talked for a little bit - our lunch for 4 people was $10 and they gave us free lunches for the next time. I seriously have never had a problem like that there but I'm glad Cristina said something. And lets hope we don't get the same waitress next time.

This bag was randomly delivered to me yesterday. Mom's been getting these down there with the purchase of gift cards. :) The more I look at it the more I love it. It's cute, simple and blue! Thanks mom!
