Gees, I am really slacking in the blogger department! We're almost to the end of March ... crazy. I'm happy that it seems like Spring is trying to break it's way into Ohio. I made it through my first Winter back. Phew. It was iffy some days. I do still very much hate snow.
Seems like the first 3 months of 2009 have just blown by! I have been applying for jobs a bunch. Nothing has come from it though. It is tough out there. I got one call back from a plastic surgeons office and they seem to have fallen off the face of the Earth. I have called and left messages to follow up and I can't even get a call back. I swear I wonder if I'm speaking a different language sometimes!
I interviewed for a different position within BBW and someone else was chosen. My attitude toward that place gets worse with every shift I work. Because the company seems to not be getting the #'s they want they are grasping at straws and all the crap wiggles its way to the bottom and hits us. (since I'm at the bottom) They have become more and more nit-picky and after this many years I think I've lost all patience for that BS. I think for what they pay us they expect a great deal and I've always given it. Until recently. Blah. Stupid place.
My birthday came and went. It was on a Saturday this year, so that was nice. But that was the one day I was scheduled to work that week. Haha. I bought myself some new rings and I got the FauxJetta new tags. Why do they make that your birthday? Who wants to spend $90 on a sticker for your license plate on your birthday?
St. Patrick's Day unfolded into something I wasn't expecting. We had a leak in the basement, plumber came out and it was fixed that day. It was all very fast and luckily it was fixed fast.
The day after St. Patrick's Day I drove to Fairborn to take down Grandma's St. Patty's decorations and put up her Easter decorations. I went to Taco Bell for both of us and came home after a little visit.
The next day I drove back to Fairborn because Aunt Sandy and Uncle Bill were coming into town to do some business for Grandma. We went out to Don Pablo's for lunch and then I had to get back to Columbus for work. Since they drove down they were able to stop at Mousehouse Cheesehaus (
http://www.mousehousecheese.com/ ) and pick up some wonderful cheese and candy for me. Oh how I love cheese!!
And on Friday, I went back one more time so we could all go shopping on the base. Military men, shopping and no tax ... it was a win/win/win. Grandma was very productive in her search for everything she needed. It was nice getting her out and shopping. :) I think we all had a good time. I got a couple new mugs, some different wines and some Easter candy. We ended up at Taco Bell for lunch. Cracks me up how that woman LOVES Taco Bell. She must forget the food in Texas because that is not Mexican. God bless the granny from Texas. I am so much like her it's not even funny. Sandy was pointing things out that I did or was doing that is like Lil.
Of course, Alex was with me for all these mini road trips. He's such a good little traveler. He just goes with the flow (as long as I'm around) He's very well behaved in Grandma's place but the wheelchairs do scare him. Grandma and I discussed if Grandpa would have enjoyed Alex. Haha. He's a little more hyper than what I think Grandpa would have wanted to deal with. Alex met him once and he was very good. I think Grandpa liked him. :)
New Kids on the Block are going to be in Columbus in less than 2 weeks and I can barely contain myself. It's going to be a GREAT evening!!
And then just a few days after NKOTB, Britney will be in town. Oh how I can't wait to see her in concert.
Dad just sent me a text today saying next Saturday night Kelly Clarkson AND Boys like Girls are going to be at Universal and guess who's working that night??? DAD!!! OMG, he might meet freaking Kelly Clarkson. Awesome. He better take a camera in his pocket that night. Haha.
I have yard work to do and it's sunny out ... but cold. Come on, Spring. Any time ... just warm it up a bit. Please. I think I'm going to put the yard work on hold and head to the gym to go tanning. Haha. I need to dry up these sinuses.

We spent a lot of time in the car last week ... wore out Little Alex. Snoooozin' in the car.
Sometimes he likes to ride in the front seat to sleep in his plane bag. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHA, God he's so cute - he was trying to get out of the sun and was laying inbetween his car seats.

Riding over to Grandmas.
Alex's photo shoot from St. Patrick's Day. So green, so cute.
