It's 25 in Columbus ... not too much of a difference. I can't wait to live in Ohio again. I've been talking to someone from HS, didn't know him then but thanks to MySpace, I know him now, but he's making me so homesick just talking about places he goes. I miss Anderson's, Bob Evans, Kroger, Lennox, Polaris, Blue Jackets games, Cup O Joe, Easton, Cosi, Huntington, Tuesday nights w/ the VW guys, Giant Eagle and having a Hallmark in the same city that I live in.



Luckily my lovely employer is making it more and more easy to quit on them to make my dreams come true of living back in the Buckeye State. I had my review on Friday morning and while I meet or exceed all but one expectation, I got a pat on the back, no compensation. My one problem that I need to work on is spending too much time dealing with stuff that's not my job. So rather than continue to be a team player I'm going to become the "I don't know" Princess. I have become the go to person for EVERYTHING and sadly, this weekend, I'm forgetting how to do it all. So if I were to have another review "Team Player" would be "Needs Improvement".



Alex went to the vet earlier this week - I thought something was wrong with him and I couldn't have been more wrong. He's got to be the healthiest dog in Texas. While I am very excited to have a happy and healthy dog, I'd also be ecstatic to have my $200. *sigh*



John Mayer has a new song on The Bucket List soundtrack that I have been playing over and over and over. It's called "Say". I LOVE IT!!! While I'm covering music, the morning show in Austin has had Matt White in the studio before and they were talking about him this morning so I "acquired" some of this songs tonight. I liked the couple songs that I have heard before but I think I'm liking the whole album. He's going to be at the House of Blues in Cleveland in February. Go see him!!

In sad news, Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus is going to be in Austin next week and unless you're willing to shave your head & eyebrows, sleep in a lion pit covered with ham or throw your 7 year old out a plane ... it's damn near impossible to get tickets. Pfft, I didn't want to go anyway.

All I've done today is clean and do laundry and watch TV. Boooring. But on the plus side Desperate Housewives is new, Brothers and Sisters is new and Joey Fatone is on Hannah Montana tonight! Brett Michaels starts his 2nd season of Sluts and Whores, so that should be entertaining.

The weather has been great - it's sunny, warm, breezy and Alex is enjoying his Sunday.

It's been a while

Let me recap 2007

January - I started getting blinding headaches.

February - Texas got ice, the state nearly shut down. I went to the ER throwing up because of pain and got my first of many head scans.

March - My uneventful 31st birthday. Rebecca moved to Amarillo.

April - Gene turned 31 and I called him. *clears throat*

May - More blinding pain in my head ... last few X-Rays were taken and an MRI.

June - Met a new doctor, within 45 seconds I was told I needed surgery, two weeks later mom came and I had a new nose! Minus the actual surgery day, we had a great time! Alex turned one and had fries and ice cream for his birthday.

July - I had a horrible reaction to the follow up meds I was supposed to use and ended up in the hospital for 3 days. Not the best 4th of July week.

August - it was too hot to remember what I did. Screw this state and their No Rain policy.

September - Alex and I flew home for Labor Day weekend. Then it was back home and it was me against the crickets. I don't know how but bugs, critters and everything of the like, in Texas, do NOT die when you put down pesticide.

October - Boo.

November - I watched like 30-some movies on Lifetime over Thanksgiving weekend. Boring.

December - I have achilles tendonitis. Ouch. And that sucks because I have a new pair of running shoes. lol My life now is eating, sleeping, stretching, working, ice baths and walking the dog. My work out buddy isn't pleased. *shrug

January 2008 - HANNAH MONTANA IS COMING TO AUSTIN!!!!!!!!! Cristina, Marissa, Amy, Margaret and I are planing on going. That's if we can get tickets this Saturday. Cross your fingers!

Miley or Bust!! I want to see "Nobody's Perfect" in person so I can do the bone dance moves with my friends. HAHA



February 2008 - I'm going to New Orleans!!

Extra Long Weekend

As if not having to work at Bath and Body Works wasn't wonderful enough, this morning I didn't have to drive to Austin. Dozens (I've heard "a dozen" and "dozens and dozens") of dead birds were found along Congress Avenue and since that's right where I work, we were told to stay home. They are medically testing the birds before they let humans back in the area.

I'm doing laundry, catching up on some TV. I downloaded Season 3 of Nip Tuck this weekend so I think I watch a couple of those. THIS is how you should start a Monday. I should just stay home all day -- seems silly to go in for 4 or 5 hours, if they get this bird thing cleared up.

Alex is watching TV and Brutus is sleeping on Alex's bed.

Blogger, not Beta anymore

I guess I'll just play around and see how it's different. :)

Since the last post, Alex and I went to Florida and had a great-great time. We had Christmas here in Texas.

I went to a New Years party, oddly enough hardly any of my pictures came out. Thank you Mojito-Man.

The sale as started at BBW and I finally am only working floorsets, or so I'm told. We'll see if that really happens.

January 8th is the OSU game - So exciting :)

January 9th I have a 4 hour allergy appt. If I don't get rid of this headache soon, I might just blow my own brains out.

January 12th Alex has a vet appt. It's time for his boyhood to come out and his one little dewclaw to be removed. I won't be able to wait to pick him up after work. Poor babe.

The other night I had a couple people over to play darts. Alex enjoyed himself. :)

I finally captured bath time. I do not have a sonic pool or jacuzzi jets ... all the waves were dog-made by my little ball of way-too-much energy.
