The Camdens Say Goodbye

Technically it's Tuesday now and has been for about 3 hours but thank goodness Monday is over. It was a very long day. I was very busy at the bank today and had to close at Bath and Body Works.

My day was really going okay despite the chaos ... until I walked out to my car and someone was using my trunk as a table. I went from "la la la, I love downtown Austin" to "OMGWTFBBQ"

I don't know if I got this early on from my dad or from the VW guys but YOU DON'T TOUCH THE OUTSIDE OF A CAR!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!! Clearcoat!! And especially a car that isn't yours with a drippy wet to go cup. *scream*

All I could get out was "what. are. you. doing?" Well, Dipshit moved and I started my journey to the freeway. No problems.

Then I'm doing about 80 down the freeway and there's a plumbing truck in front of me. Honestly I thought to myself, I wonder if they've ever lost any PVC piping?? Not 3 minutes later an "L" shaped piece comes flying out and starts bouncing. I'm in Austin traffic at 1700, I can't go anywhere but forward and in the words of Nick, "KABOOOOOOSH". *mad face*

I followed them until I could get beside them to find a number to call. I called and guess what? I gave the guy on the phone the "unit #". Yeah, that's not their truck anymore. Super.

I came home, ate some dinner and headed off to Bath and Body Works. 6 Days until Mother's Day and 80 boxes of shipment. Super Duper.

All I wanted to do all day was come home and knit and watch my Monday TV.

We didn't leave work until after 2300 but I got home and watched the very last 7th Heaven. I'm going to miss that show. Speaking of missing things, I missed what happened the last few minutes. I guess it ran a little long and it had already switched over to catch the last hour of David Blaine's special. So if anyone can fill me in, that'd be nice.

David Blaine is AMAZING to watch. I don't get that man. He's like half man and half freak. My most recurring thought during that hour was "he got out to go to the bathroom, didn't he?" I sure hope he's on the Today show in the morning or something. I need answers. :)

After that, I watched What About Brian. Sadly it was the season finale but I see that show lasting. Or I hope it does. It's very fun and laid back. I like it.

I've been on a cleaning fit lately - I don't want any dirty laundry in the hamper, I don't want my towel just thrown on the towel bar, my bed has to bed made and I couldn't get a stronger smell of bleach in here if I tried. The summer bugs are about to kill me here in the south and tonight when I got home I about had a stroke when I walked in my room.

Brutus (I'm blaming him, you'll know why in a minute) got kitty litter ALL OVER MY BED. Gross. So I strip it all (after just putting clean sheets on yesterday evening) and get it ready to take to the laundry mat. I can't do it here since our apt complex doesn't have hot water running to the washers. Dorks. My next job was to check the 8 kitty feet. Petey was easy, he likes to be picked up. Nope, not him. Brutus freaking had it caked on him. So ...

He got his first bath. I laughed the whole time. I really don't know why people say you can't give a cat a bath. Hold their back feet, they can't go anywhere. Ha, I win. Now, he did cry like I was stabbing him but it died down. When I was happy with the paws, I got him out of the tub and he went NUTS. (kind of like Cory, if you've ever seen him after a bath) I laid a towel on the floor thinking "yeah, right" but he totally let me dry him. I'm still a little shocked by this. He kicked it around a little bit and then laid down and started licking his feet. Proof that I didn't drown him ....

(Isn't he handsome?)

Here's Brutus relaxing yesterday while I was folding laundry. (before the clean sheets, obviously) Does he look comfortable?

I have blabbed too much, even for me. Nighty-Night!!
